Our Journey: From Love At First Sight to The Final Goodbye
Love At First Sight
Jack and I started out together at a small workshop in New Orleans owned by a man we called Mr. Freddy. My first day there was a cold December morning in 1995. Jack was polishing silver, and I was just starting as a stone setter.
The moment I walked into that workshop, I saw Jack under the soft glow of a single flickering lamp. I can still see him perfectly—his hands covered in silver dust, his eyes focused intensely on a raw diamond. When our eyes met across that workbench, the world didn’t just slow down; it stopped. In that crowded, noisy room, there was a sudden, electric silence. We didn't just find business partners that day; we found the other half of our souls. It was the very definition of love at first sight.
Our "Third Child"
After a few years together and raising two wonderful kids, Jack & Jen Jewelry became our "third child." We decided to open our own boutique right at the start of Cortez Street. We poured our hearts, late nights, and every bit of our energy into that space. We survived the lean years because we were fueled by a shared dream.
Your Smiles Were Our Reward
Our biggest satisfaction wasn't the sales—it was your stories. The nervous grooms, the happy grandmothers, and the smiles on your faces when you found "the one." Those smiles made every struggle worth it.
The Final Adventure
Now, at 68 and 70, it’s time to trade our tools for a roadmap. We’re selling our home, buying an RV, and traveling while we still can! ❤️ We can’t take our inventory on the road, and we refuse to let these treasures sit in a dark warehouse. We want them to find a home where they’ll be loved.
To say goodbye, we are offering our final collection for FREE. Every piece holds the spirit of our 27-year journey. Thank you for letting us be a part of your life.
With love,
Jack & Jen
